STEMVillage Summer Camp – Week 1, Day 1 Highlights

We kicked off Week 1 of STEMVillage with a full day of hands-on learning and creative exploration!

Campers started by making custom name tags and building catapults to learn about potential and kinetic energy. Pom-poms flew as they experimented with angles and designs to maximize launch power.

In the afternoon, they created vibrant spin art while learning about centripetal force, combining science with creativity. The day wrapped up with the classic egg drop challenge, where students engineered protective structures and explored concepts like gravity, impact force, and structural integrity—cheering each time an egg survived the fall.

Day 1 captured everything STEMVillage is about: teamwork, curiosity, and learning through doing. We’re off to a great start!
