STEMVillage Summer Camp – Week 2, Day 3 Highlights
7/31/20251 min read
Week 2, Day 3 at STEMVillage brought some of our most exciting experiments yet—filled with eruptions, rocket launches, and soaring eggs! Here’s what the campers explored today: Volcano – Campers teamed up to create baking soda and vinegar volcanoes, learning about chemical reactions, gas expansion, and Earth science. They designed creative structures and timed the eruptions to test different vinegar-to-baking soda ratios.
Balloon Rockets – Using string tracks and balloons, students launched their own balloon-powered rockets across the room. This activity introduced them to Newton’s Third Law of Motion, air pressure and friction.

Mega Egg Drop – For the grand finale, campers worked in teams to design and build protective capsules for a high-stakes egg drop. They learned about gravity, impact force, and energy absorption—trying to keep their eggs intact through multiple rounds of testing!
