STEMVillage Summer Camp – Week 2, Day 4 Highlights

As we near the end of our second camp week, Day 4 was packed with hands-on engineering, artistic exploration, and scientific discovery. Campers built vehicles, tested buoyancy, and got creative with centrifugal forces. Here's what we explored: Fan-Powered Cars – Campers engineered cars powered by small fans and learned how propulsion, friction, and basic circuitry affect motion. They adjusted designs to optimize for speed, distance, and stability.

Weight-Bearing Boats – Students designed and built boats capable of holding weight without sinking using limited materials. This experiment introduced concepts of buoyancy, water displacement, and structural balance.

Marker Spin Art – To end the day with some color and motion, campers created art using spinning motors and markers. While having fun, they discovered how rotational motion, balance, and centrifugal force contribute to patterns and design.
